Holiday Inn Moscow-Seligerskaya

Holiday Inn Moscow-Seligerskaya hotel is located in the walking distance from Metro station Seligerskaya and puts you 15 minutes from Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO). It counts with 201 rooms and a new and unique Open Lobby. The hotel is provided with a central atrium with a height of approximately 30m and divided into 8 floors, all of them facing the atrium (via open corridors). On top of the atrium there is a circular skylight provided with natural openings.

JVVA developed a specific study regarding the fire load at the atrium base has been undertaken for the hotel. The objective of the study was to evaluate if there was a viable solution to allow for a “controlled fire load” approach at the atrium base i.e. an extinguishing system was not incorporated. An alternative option that has been evaluated was to incorporate a strategy of non-controlled fire load at the atrium base, including the incorporation of a special extinguishing system.
